Exelica Enterprise Server Extensions for Jasper Overview
Exelica Enterprise Server uses Jasper Server from JasperSoft to store, schedule and interact with reports. Open source Intelligence Server from JasperSoft provides ways to manage, secure, and deliver report capabilities to different user communities.
Exelica Report Designer creates reports which are not compatible with Jasper Server. Unlike Jasper reports Exelica reports are spreadsheet oriented and look and feel more like Excel reports. You need the Exelica Report Engine to process such reports. The Engine is provided with the Exelica Enterprise Server Essentials distribution that you can download from our site.
To make Jasper Server connect to the Exelica Report Engine you need the Exelica Enterprise Server Extensions for Jasper. The Extensions contain the glue code which integrates support for custom Exelica types and features into Jasper Serverís framework.
Open source version of Jasper Server falls under the GNU GPL license, as well as the Exelica Enterprise Server Extensions for Jasper, which is also open source under the same license.
You can download the Jasper Server from here. For those who already have Jasper Server installed the Exelica Enterprise Server Extensions for Jasper is available here.
For those who donít have Jasper Server installed can download the Jasper Server together with Exelica Enterprise Server Extensions here.
